It was again a great day with both entertainment from our Birding World alongside fascinating current research and future projections.  Thanks to their generosity all monies from the ticket sales go directly to the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The topics covered were ‘the Skokholm rebuild project and update’ (Renate Thome), the ‘Pembrokeshire Bird diary (Lyndon Lomax), ‘an update into bird surveys and more’ (Annie Haycock) The ‘wild wild west’ (USA by Andrew Sinclair). ‘Over wintering Woodcock in Pembrokeshire’ (Paddy Jenks), ‘A trip to Israel (Graham Walker).   The Quiz (John Hayes) and the raffle (Nikki Anderson).  The conference was closed by Dr M.Havard. This latest important audit (dare we say health-check) of our breeding birds will be formally launched at this weekends Bird Conference being hosted by Chevron.The book covers more than 100 breeding species, with maps for most showing changes in distribution between the first breeding birds survey (1984-88) and 2003-07.
